GWU Second Degree BSN

Hello!

I have been accepted into GWU's second degree program, the notification came via email instead of the traditional letter. My pre-req gpa was a 3.5 and degree gpa 3.1. Additionally I have 3 years nursing tech experience and I poured my heart out in the essay.

i submitted the last part of my application June 5th, and haven't heard anything yet. freckles, your post is encouraging considering my overall and prerequisite GPA are essentially identical to yours. i only have 2 years behind me direct patient care though. i'm also hoping my essay is killer; i talked about the role of nursing in patient care.

if you'd let us know what the timeline on your acceptance was, that would be great!

I submitted my application in late march and was notified on june first. I would email the program coordinator if you have questions, she responds quickly and was a bunch of help. good luck

Has anyone else heard from GWU second degree BSN? I have applied and am wondering how long I will be waiting to hear back from them! Did everyone who has received their acceptance gotten it through email? I think my mail man is getting sick of me asking him to double check the mail for me everyday! Thanks for the help!

Still no word on my application status. The staff seem wonderful, but I am having 20 panic attacks per day just praying to get accepted. Anyone else get a notification email?

I applied for this Fall I asked the admissions counselor how many people applied for Fall 2010- she said 250. Last year it was approximately 40 people who applied. I am already in a nursing program, but I really dislike my nursing program at Adelphi and I can graduate a little faster at GWU so I figure why not! my undergrad GPA was 3.2, my pre-req GPA is 3.4. Lets hope we get in.
