Published

Hey everyone! Looking for people who were accepted for Summer 2021 ABSN program at George Washington University!!

That's really quick! And congrats! ?

Literally! LOL I even saw my decision before they sent out emails telling us to check. I was checking my portal everyday and just saw the decision at like 3pm and they didn't send out notification emails till 5pm

Hi everyone! For those of you admitted would you mind sharing your GPA or any advice? I am applying for this term however my overall GPA is pretty low with a strong upward trend.  My prerequisite GPA is a 3.5 and I do have CNA experience, I took 2 pre req classes at GW (both A's), I'm nervous and wondering if I have a shot or not. Looking forward to hearing back from admissions!

Hi! I graduated college in May 2020 and finished with a 3.68 and had a prereq GPA around there too! I began college with a pretty low GPA as well but had that upward trend like you. That upward trend definitely looks good on your transcript and shows you are driven. I think experience matters too so I would maybe capitalize on that (being a CNA) in your essay! I think you have a shot for sure! good luck!

I have a 3.5 overall GPA. As & Bs in prereqs. Im heavily involved in leadership on campus and I worked for a nursing professor as a TA for 4 semester, student assistant in my health promotion office, on several health committees, RA and other things on campus. I also switched from premed to nursing so my GPA has an upward trend as well. I think you’re in a good chance for acceptance. I also think taking courses from GW helps probably?

Has anybody been accepted yet that didn’t apply before the priority deadline??

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else got an email about the interview for the Nurses Scholar Program? Does anyone know what this program entails? Thanks!

Yeah I did! Its like the Washington Squared program but for GW hospital. I actually don't know the specifics. But yea
