Gwinnett Tech Nursing Program 2012 kaplan exam

Hey guys I have to take my kaplan exam next week thursday! :( yeaaaa freaking out! how was the exam for those that already took it?

All I know is, I am going to think I got accepted until otherwise. I started working on a back up just in case. I have a job interview this Friday and the job pays very well. I just feel like everything is falling in place slowly but surely, and we should all think like this. Tomorrow is the 29, so testing is almost over. WWOOOOSSAAA. God please control my fingers so I do not harass Saadia.

if that was the case that most students have scored in the 70s (and most of us have a good gpa), how are they going to average it all out. you know what I mean? or do you think it is going to be a clean cut?

that is true- we will never know. How early do you think Ms Jackson will be able to let us know where we stand?

Not sure, hopefully this following Monday they can at least send out stats.

lol, I agree. Little by little- good luck :) I might be too anxious and have tons of questions. But all I can really do is wait.

mads1mom provided the formula to calculate it. 2.5 for every .1 grade. So 3.0 is 75, 3.1 is 77.5 etc. You add that score to the Kaplan score and divide by 2. I did yours. you have a 85 (84.75 to be exact). I have a 84. So you would get accepted before me.

no one knows until all the stats are in. it just depends on how everyone else does in comparison. It's the top 60 and that is going to fluctuate every year in scores. I am still waiting to exhale

yeah, I did. Don't know how it will shake out though in the end. Just like everyone else. Hopeful and anxious.

Oh I see. Had no clue, everyone was sharing how they did but you did not say anything so I figured you were still completing the prereqs. How did you think the test was?

Well other than nerve-wracking I thought it was okay. Science was the hardest for me like most everyone else. Overall score 82. They are still evaluating my transcripts so I don't have a GPA to share but I don't have a 4.0 that's for sure. So I really don't know how things are going to shake out. I did hear though that some people didn't show up for the test so it's down to 209 candidates.

Hi, I took the KAPLAN today and did ok in all areas EXCEPT for writing!! I had no clue Writing would be on the test. It had questions about subject-verb agreement...i havent had English in 4 years so I honestly guessed on most of those questions which were wrong guesses because the writing i made a 59 in!yikes. it brought my score down to a 70. FML i know i wont get in this time because of that stupid writing portion which I didnt study for :(

Trust me, I started panicking earlier as well. I had to sit back and relax. No one knows who really got what so try to relax( I know easier said than done). Yes, that writing was something. Made me really feel silly that grade schoolers would of probably done better lol. Do not remember subject-verb agreement for nothing (just a little) Do you attend Gwinnett Tech?
