Hello all,

I am on here seeking other applicants to Gwinnett Techs Nursing Program for the 2018 cohort.

Hopefully we can get our GPA's and Kaplan scores on here.

I have a 3.86 GPA for which is used for the nursing application and just got an 81 on the Kaplan first go round.

I am biting my nails and wondering if this gpa and Kaplan score will get me in.

Is there any other pre-nursing students at Gwinnett Tech on here?:)

Hello!

Also a nursing student at GTC in the 2019 class. To help with some of your worries, they look at the application as a whole. They even look at what teachers you took. As long as you have a decent GPA (I would say at least 3.4, higher is always better), a kap score of above 80, but most importantly, A's in all over your science classes. Especially AP 1 and 2, including lab. If you have all that, you have a really good chance of getting in! It's a wonderful program, but if you're not ready to give your life up and work, lol, you will not do well.

Best wishes!

Hello. Has anyone heard something back? I applied with a 3.71 GPA and 87 on my Kaplan. The wait is pure agony.

Not yet ! I feel the exact same way right now like seriously when are we going to know

Hey we have the same GPA, except I scored an 85 on the Kaplan. Still waiting. I think the snow days delayed everything. I know the feeling though. I have major life decisions on hold until I find out.

Can you share an idea of what to expect as far as school hours go? I'm trying for figure out if I will have to quit my job. Is a normal class day like 8-5 M-F? It's my understanding that you take 2 classes a semester.

I am hoping we hear back soon. I asked her if the snow days will delay the response and she said no.

Also regarding your schedule, i believe this program is a full time program and the advisor said there will be little to no time to spare for work and other things.

Hey everyone... seriously freaking out right now! I just checked my transcript and it says this. I am almost certain it did not say nursing before!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!

Hello Jacks 13, to determine for sure go to admission status on banner. Then click on your application and look were it says decision. It should say accepted.

I've looked for that link and I could never find it. I went in to check admission status and logged in and there are no applications. It just asks me to create one.

Hello Amk3, The schedule varies depending on what clinical group you will be in. In the past, you would attend class on Tuesdays 9am-4pm sometimes start at 8am if there is an exam that day. Wednesdays and Thursdays are simulation days you will be assigned based on your group, but the first couple of weeks be prepared to go both days. Then you have clinicals that could be on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Clinicals for the your first semester are about 8 hour days. I would say be prepared to attend school 3-4 days a week plus study time afterwards.

I hope this helped! Good Luck!

Online Admissions try this one. If you completed an application it should be there because that is were you see the decision of the dean.
