Hello all,

I am on here seeking other applicants to Gwinnett Techs Nursing Program for the 2018 cohort.

Hopefully we can get our GPA's and Kaplan scores on here.

I have a 3.86 GPA for which is used for the nursing application and just got an 81 on the Kaplan first go round.

I am biting my nails and wondering if this gpa and Kaplan score will get me in.

Is there any other pre-nursing students at Gwinnett Tech on here?:)

OMG! I'm scared now after reading this. I made a 77 on KAP and my GPA is 3.2.... My chances are looking grim!!! I still applied. I wonder how many spaces are they trying to fill

Did you take the Kaplan twice? And your gpa only includes your prereq classes, right?

They take around 70 applicants per year. I'll be honest. The program is VERY competitive and there will be a lot of students with 4.0 gpa's and 80's and 90's on the Kaplan. Your scores need to be close to those if you want to get in. If you don't get in this year, try retaking your prereq's so you have a better shot next year. And apply to more than one school.

For anyone else who hasn't applied yet, if you think your chances getting in are slim retake some classes to boost your gpa, retake the kaplan, and apply the following year. You can only apply a maximum of two times, so don't waste your time applying with scores that won't get you in.

Keep your hopes up. If not then apply again!!!! We are all still waiting for a response and i hope we get one soon !!!!!

I thought it was only 60 applicants ?

We had 67 accepted into our class.

Oh wow!!!! That's so interesting. Did you get into the 2017 cohort or before then??

Yes, I'm in the 2017 cohort, graduation date 2019.

I think the number varies each year.

Wooow how do you like it? What's it like ?

Hello everyone! I have also applied and am playing the waiting game. My GPA is 3.57 and my Kaplan is 91. So nervous and hoping to hear back soon!

That's a great score and gpa. We are all desperately waiting for a response !

I love it! It's crazy, though. And it can be pretty stressful. There's lot of time spent studying and going over material. The material can be difficult but as long as you're on top of your studying, you're good. Be ready to go at full speed. It's awesome and the time flies by.

Hi guys, I applied as well. This waiting is driving me crazy. I have an 85 on the Kaplan and 3.40 GPA. I really hope that is good enough to get in. I emailed Mrs. Angela the program specialist and she said she seen many students get in with my scores. I hope she is right. You all have really great scores. Good luck!
