Gwinnett Tech or Athens Tech?

First, I wanted to thank everybody on these forums -- you have all been such a wealth of information and entertainment, and it's because of you I finally decided to "go for it." I haven't started school yet, but I've applied to do my pre-nursing reqs at both ATC and GTC. Once those are done, I'm hoping to one of those two nursing programs.

I've gone to the general info sessions at both schools, and am preparing to go to both their Nursing Program info sessions. As it stands now, though, I'm pretty evenly split between the two schools. They're both about the same distance from my house, and they both seem like good schools. Does anybody have any insight that might point me one way or the other? I'm asking for both the pre-reqs and the Nursing Programs. Experiences? I appreciate anything you can give me.

I think the problem is getting accepted into the problem. It will be an awsome achievement to be accepted into three different schools. You may consider the driving distance, the NCLEX passing rate among others.

Yeh, I would've never expected to get into 3 nursing schools but I have held onto my 4.0 GPA and I'm just thinking "what if"...however, there is a chance I won't get accepted into any of the schools on the my first attempt. We shall see! :)

Here is my experience with ATC nursing experience. I got accepted to the ADN program for fall 2011. I had a 3.4GPA but a perfect entrance exam score. You can take the NLN ( entrance test) every 6 months but you have to have taken the last one by January of the year you are applying. I took it twice. One before anatomy 1 and once after. What a difference it makes take anatomy before I highly recommend it. There is physics on there so study it. Take Fameree for anatomy he is hard and mean but you will learn and thank him later. chambers is awesome teaching micro she is interesting and really wants you to succeed. The teachers are hard because they have to weed out those who aren't serious.good luck to you all it's an amazing feeling to get the yes letter after all the hard work. And trust me it is hard. BTW we had over 500 applicants and they still only take 50
