  1. Look at the very top of your transcript right below "Current Program" you should see Nur-Nursing. But if you scroll past that you will see repetitions of Healthcare certificate.
  2. CONGRATULATIONS!! YAY:laugh:

Posts: 6 Likes: 8 Hi All, I went online last week and the Official Transcript section of gtc-web.org showed my program being HLC-Health Care Science Cert, today went I checked it shows NUR-Nursing Degree. Hopefully this is a good sign. Good luck to everybody" Apr 7, '12 by [COLOR=#003366]DeviMak Apr 7, '12 by [COLOR=#003366]DeviMak A member since Feb '10 - from 'n/a'. Posts: 96 Likes: 47 Awards: [COLOR=#003366]Quote from mg100 For all of you that were able to get in to the system and see a date, I also have a date of April 5 under "Received", but nothing under "Note" or "Status". What did you guys have? Maybe that date just means all of the information is in??? Apr 5, '12 by seventyseven77 Here's how you can check: go to www.gtc-web.org and click on Apply for admissions/check admissions status. It will have you log in. On the next page, click on Fall semester 2012. You'll see your personal information and if you scroll all the way down, the Program Director's Approval is there. I wonder if they'll update that before or after they send notifications out. If what you guys are saying is true, OMG I am the happiest most blessed person on the earth right now at this moment!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Jesus!! from previous applicants that got accepted, the date showed up and then the email came. That's why we are guessing it means we are accepted. We could be wrong though! LOL For what it's worth though... there are no "notes" or "status" beside my transcripts, compass, etc. Just a date under the received. Having a date in the Program Director Approval means the program Director has approved that person for program though, so I'm pretty sure we are right. " Me: If what happened last year was anything to go by, then we can definitely see a sign by the end of the week. As early as 5th April last year, these changes occurred in students' accounts. When they contacted the office they said it didn't mean anything but as it turned out, those were good signs. Nothing in my account changed and I didn't get accepted. 1. If you open your transcript and your program has changed from Healthcare Cert to Assoc. Degree Nursing there's hope.... 2. If you log in to check your application status and you see a date by the Program Director's Approval, it's even a better sign... I hope this helps!!! Good Luck!
  4. Science was hard. Ended up with 75. GPA 4.0
  5. Congratulations JB13!
  6. I have a 4.0 GPA and made 69 on kaplan last year but didn't make it. There were applicants that had less than a 4.0 GPA, scored 75 or less on kaplan and still made it. If you are a student that took a lot of credit hours per quarter/semester and ended up with a little less than a perfect GPA, and scored a mark in the 70s, I think you still stand a better chance than someone with a 4.0 that scored around the same mark but took less credits than you did. You can never really tell until they start making changes in our students accounts from pre-nursing to nursing so until then let's keep hope alive.
  7. Hi JB13, I take mine on Thursday too. I've been able to gather a few questions on the science and would'nt mind sharing. I must confess I still can't figure out what some of the answers should be. You can email me at (removed per request). Good Luck!
  8. From what I hear you don't receive enough loans to cover all your basic needs. I could move in with family but they live too far away. I have a 7 year old and I'm a single mom. I do trust in the Lord and I'm confident He will make a way. I'm very happy for you for the support you have.
  9. That was helpful Blue Felt Fedora. Yes so far I have been receiving full financial aid. The mistake I made was I should have accepted all the loans and saved it for later. I've only accepted the loan one time and that was less than $1500. From what I hear, the program is considered part-time so you only receive enough loans to fit that status. Well I will find out from the financial aid office. Thanks.
  10. I thought the last day to take it was the 28th? At least that's when I take mine.
  11. I was kind of wondering. If your current work schedule does not allow you to work and go to school, where do you get loans to cover your monthly bills? I was hoping my credit union would fill in the gap but I just found out they only provide loans for 4yr programs.
  12. I wonder who will be taking their tests tomorrow. Kind of scary....
  13. Sorry Laatra, I had to be at work so I attended the second meeting. To tell everyone the truth, most people didn't do too well on the science and the writing part but because they scored up high 90s on the math and the reading part that kind of evened it out for them. I on the other hand for whatever reason kept pushing next on my math and ended up skipping a lot of questions and that's how I got myself into trouble. Trust me you'll all do just fine.
