In Texas: I graduated from Vocational Nursing School, had no previous criminal background, passed FBI background check and received my GVN status as well as my ATT. Since that time my ex-boyfriend called the police and had me charged with telephone harrassment. The truth be told, he was harrassing me and I've actually had to change my number and have been approved for a protective order against him. A warrant was issued for my arrest in another county 4 hours away (who really dont know the true situation). I went ahead and hired an attorney, but he was unable to get the warrant dismissed as he really doesnt practice in this county and doesnt know anyone. So I was advised to turn myself in to clear the warrant, which I did in the county I reside. Now, my attorney is trying to get this charge dismissed, but the courthouse doesnt have anything on the charge and the DAs office isnt working on it either. Its already been 2 months.
I have a couple of questions:
Do I need to contact the BON and make them aware of this arrest even if I havent been convicted?
Do I need to inform potential employers of my situation when applying for a job?
Can I still take my NCLEX and receive my license?
Please advise and thank you in advance for any input : )

Sorry, but this isn't something we can answer. You need to contact your board of nursing as each situation is handled individually.
