Guam NCLEX

hi,

I am planning to take an NCLEX exam to Guam. Is it true that I don't need CGFNS for this and that I only need to apply straight to the BON? also, I am thinking about the CA BON but I am reading a lot of complications due to a different curriculum from the Philippines. I took an international BSN in Nursing in the UK for 2 yrs but just theories, is that enough for CA?

thanks x

Where do you plan on living and working in the US?

Hi

Thanks for the reply

I really plan in California. If I get my SSN soon thru marriage would it make anything possible to work in Cali?

I hope my UK 2 year degree could be acknowledged in California as well... :crying2:

It would be a waste of time applying anywhere else but the state you plan on living and working in especially if CA is your destination as requirements still have to be met. If your UK studying doesn't have clinical element I doubt it will be of any use in the US regarding your training. Everything is usually done on transcripts from original training

oh mmm I might stick to Guam then... I haven't got any experience anyway in the hospital so I think the competition in California to find a job is tough. But I don't wanna be stuck in Guam either :crying2:

There are plenty of other states to choose
