GSU RN Bridge Program 2018

Published

Has anyone been accepted into the GSU/GPC RN bridge program for summer 2018? I applied and was wondering.

Btw....I think my interview went well. They kept a poker face so it's difficult to tell. The accelerated part is definitely a bummer for i specifically sought out this school bc it was so flexible, so I'm going to start trying to figure out things and just make it work pending I get accepted of course. Do you have to work as well?

I was working part time, so I told my husband he would have to pick up the slack!lol. I've been thinking about it since Wednesday. But we'll just have to do whatever it takes to make it work. I don't know about you, but I didn't have a plan B, so this Nsg program was the only one I applied to. I'm sure there will be some who can't do it at all because they have to work. This is something they implemented at the last minute. This program was never accelerated before. Have you ever known it to be accelerated?

I didn't apply to any other school either :( No it was not accelerated. I sat through 2 different info sessions and was told this program was more flexible so the change is with this upcoming class. Yea, I'm sure there will be some that won't be able to do it. I will figure it out, I can't wait another year. Even if I have to work weekends. It's only for 9 months.

9 months? They told me it would start in May, and we would graduate in May 2019. Did they tell you 9 months?

Yeah.... with the time off between semesters it works out to be about 9 months of actual program work. They told me the program starts in the middle of May

Oh my goodness!!!

Hi, I was wondering if you heard anything further from the school? I sent in my acceptance letter along with my picture but haven't heard anything yet. I know we have to take a physical before starting. I just hope they don't wait until the last minute to let us know things.

No, I haven't heard anything. I registered for the classes given in the acceptance letter. I'm sure we will be getting messages right after spring break.

Oh OK. I haven't registered for the classes but I'll do that today. Thanks.

I noticed in the letter it mentioned Nursing 1924 & 1926 will be discussed at orientation. But in the curriculum it has nurs 2924. I registered for 1926, but it blocked my registration for 2924. Were you able to register? Is nurs 2924 & 1924 the same class?

Oh yeah, it blocked me as well but if you contact Renee she will override it for you so can register. She answered her email promptly and it was taken care of as soon as she responded. Just make sure you include your student number and the CRN number.

Oh OK. Is the crn number Nurs 2924?
