Dec 17, 20178 yr Has anyone been accepted into the GSU/GPC RN bridge program for summer 2018? I applied and was wondering.
Dec 21, 20178 yr I applied in September and received a letter stating I met the minimum requirements and that a letter would be sent before feb 28th if I was accepted. Did u get that letter?
Dec 21, 20178 yr Author I also got a letter stating I met the minimum requirements but that was before the date changed. I just found out that they will send out letters by Feb. 28th. I heard that the bridge program was not competitive like the traditional track. Have you ever heard that?
Dec 21, 20178 yr Yes... from what I was told they accept 40 applicants but barely have 20-24 who apply so if u meet the minimum requirements you should get in. It's like the best kept secret! I was super annoyed when the start date was changed a week before the May 31st deadline. But it gave me an opportunity to complete the BSN coursework for the university of Alabama. Which has less pre req's than GSU btw
Dec 21, 20178 yr Author Thank God for that! Its been a very long journey for me! Does the university of Alabama offer an online course? I was planning to continue with Walden University for an MSN. I know quite a few who have done that.
Dec 21, 20178 yr Yes... it's strictly online. They also have a 7 semster RN to MSN. Which is the route I'm probably gonna seek. It has been a 10 year journey for me. UA has a wealth of information online and I've contacted the mobility coordinator about which classes transfer etc
Dec 21, 20178 yr Author I'm going to look into that one as well. Thanks for the tip and I'll hopefully see you in August!í ½í¸Š
Jan 25, 20188 yr Author Hi, Are you scheduled for an interview? I had no idea the course was going to be a one year accelerated course! Were you aware of that?
Jan 25, 20188 yr I am... I'm scheduled tomorrow. "accelerated"? So it's not a one day a week class followed by a clinical???
Jan 25, 20188 yr Author Not anymore. I sat with Ms. Creel & 2 other staff members, and they said it is now and accelerated program...graduation will be May 2019. We have to go every day during the week!
Jan 27, 20188 yr Btw....I think my interview went well. They kept a poker face so it's difficult to tell. The accelerated part is definitely a bummer for i specifically sought out this school bc it was so flexible, so I'm going to start trying to figure out things and just make it work pending I get accepted of course. Do you have to work as well?
