GRU MSN-CNL

Has anyone applied here? I am looking into this at the Athens campus. For those accepted, was your written component of the application process very formal? And what is your schedule really like?

Specializes in CNM.

I'm a student at the Augusta campus and our schedule is just slightly different from Athens. First semester looks something like this...again it's slightly different than the Athens Campus.

On Mondays we spend the day in lab from 0800-1700.

On Tuesdays we had off until October when we start clinicals. Those were 8 hour clinicals starting at 0700.

Wednesdays we had off except for the very occasional required event we had to go to like watching the 2nd years do their presentation.

On Thursdays we had 2 classes for lecture. They started at 0900-1600.

Fridays were open lab and it's your choice to go to it. However, there are extra lab hours you have to obtain on your own time which is what this day is used for. Plus you really go a lot to practice your hands on skills.

Then you also have two online classes you take during the first semester.

I really enjoy this program!

I applied for the Athens campus, too! I submitted my application about 2 weeks ago, so I'll be waiting until after winter break to hear back from them.

I have applied to the Athens campus. I watched the webinar and it looks like they are now offering a nurse practitioner program that you can enter directly after finishing the CNL program. I have all my paper work/GRE/transcripts in as of today, so I think I will hear something in the next few weeks. Are you applying for any scholarships or know of some good resources?
