Hello future RNs!

Wanted to start this forum to keep in touch with my fellow Spring 2020 applicants. I submitted my application a few weeks ago estimating around 86 points. This will be my second time around, first time I was around 68 points. Went back to school to receive my Associate Degree and Language, and increased my TEAS score. Best of luck to all applicants!

So I believe you can repeat one science course. If you had to withdraw from micro, and have not repeated anatomy or physiology, then you can go ahead and take it again. If you have already repeated A or P, then I think you have used your one time. But I would talk to the nursing dept or your counselor to see if there is any wiggle room. Good luck!

Thank you. I only repeated Micro and got the A. I should be good.

I will be applying to SWC’s and Grossmont’s Fall 2020 program.

Last question for all of you guys...

What did you guys use to study for the TEAS to get a competitive score? Weighs a ton on Grossmont’s point system lol.

Does anyone know how many seats will be available for this cohort? I hear that it’s easier to get in to the program for Spring compared to Fall

I used the whole ati package to study, but still didn’t do as great as I would have liked.

I have no idea number of seats, but I think it’s the same as every other cohort.

I thought the notification email was THE email and have been on edge ever since, wondering what “soon” means and why they would do that! Lol.

I just used the mometrix study guide and all the teas apps for practice questions. I think I saw on the website that emails go out on the 1st of October. But the lady in the office said end of September/early October so any time now!!! ?????
