Grossmont Fall 2017 Cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Good luck to everyone who applied! I wanted to start a thread for all of us waiting to hear back. I applied to Grossmont and I know I'm nervous so I thought we can all be nervous together! Also, I thought we could share how many points we think we got and other school we might have applied to. Well, I'm pretty sure we have until April before we find out so until then I'll be patiently waiting. Love to hear from ya' all!

I think Grossmonts first round had to respond by the 10th. And I also heard that everyone who got into Grossmont has already been notified. But who knows! Things always change!

Guys I had to decline my offer after I accepted it, my husband and I are moving out of the country due to military orders. There will be one more spot open. Hopefully you guys get it! I love the positive attitudes!

Has anyone heard from Grossmont yet?

I got an email yesterday that I didn't get in, my friend also got her rejection letter. good luck everyone!

Emily I received my rejection email yesterday too.

Anybody here accepted to any of the San Diego lvn to RN programs that can tell me what the weekly schedule is like??

I don't think anyone in our cohort is in the LVN to RN program. But the schedule for Fundamental is Monday's either 7:30 to 10:50am or 7:30am-5 something. I'm not in the class so I'm not sure when it ends. If you have short day Monday you go Tuesday 8am-2pm and Thursday 8am-2pm. If you went to long day Monday I think they go Wednesday 8am-2pm. The Pharm on fridays 9am-11:50am. Once clinicals start we don't go to class on the Wednesday or Thursday depending which section we are in for fundamentals.

I just saw your thread. How many points did you have? Because this happened to me also. I had 76-77 point and didn't get in and now I am seeing people got in with 75 point? I don't get it either. I asked the dean about it and she couldn't really answer my question. But then they say its based only on point. Not fair in my eyes. I Know this was last yr but just curious

I calculated 79-82 points. That was based on my calculations. I actually ended up getting in on the second round after others declined their seat. Honesty, people who were picked over me have already failed out while I'm rocking it! So you're right sometimes they make unfair decisions. My advice is apply again! Also, it's not over until orientation starts. I was called on the day of orientation and was accepted. Good luck to you and never give up!
