Grossmont College Cohort Spring 2018

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello everybody! I wanted to start a thread on this upcoming application season for Grossmont.

I am ranging 80-82 points ( depending on those life experiences points). This will be my first time applying here. Reading all these forums and seeing that people can take more than one try to get in makes me anxious! Lol

Good luck to everyone! :)

What do you guys think is the lowest TEAS score to get in. It says 62 or 64 (something like that) yet all I see is all these above 80 scores. Does this mean O have no chance?

For the school, the minimum to get in is 62%. But of course the higher you score the better chance you have of getting accepted.

If you calculated 80 and above on points. And don't mind me asking.....how did you get there? Just trying to see what my chances are. Thank you for any info....

Mostly from the extra points avaibale.

5 points for Associates Degree

5 points for CNA license

5 points for working in a hospital

81% on the teas exam = 26 points

Plus the life experience points.

Good luck :)

So if you get under 75 for TEAS it's a most definite no? Man this is tough business!

It depends on your overall points. http://www.grossmont.edu/academics/programs-departments/nursing/docs/pdfs/Admission%20points%20with%20Equivalencies%2062016.pdf

I got a 90. It's a point system so at the end of the day, the more points the better. Higher the teas, higher the points ....

Not really. For example, you can get all the points available (15+45+5+3=68) and still get a 62%(15 points) on the teas you would get 83 points which is not bad. It depends on other areas as well.

I turned in my application with two hep B vaccines and the titer, I was missing one vaccine and they told me it was fine twice( I went to check my vaccines with them a week before submitting my application) and they checked it again when I submitted it. Let's hope it truly is fine

Did/is anyone else applying to any other schools? I think I'm applying to San Diego City College in September. I was going to apply to Palomar and Mira Costa, but living in La Mesa makes it quite the commute. :wtf:

My sister barely passed her TEAS but got good points on everything else, so it compensated. Still she got accepted into the program with only 72-75 points

To the Grossmont program?
