Grey's Anatomy junior fit- need advice

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

I'm buying my first few pairs of scrubs for work, and I've tried size XS in Dickies, Cherokee, Landau, etc and they all fit fairly baggy. The only pair I have that fits me decently are my Reina size XXS scrubs, but XXS is really hard to find. I just ordered some Koi scrubs recently, and I'm really hoping I like them!

Right now I'm looking at Grey's junior fit scrub set online, and am really unsure whether I should get XS or SML. Normally being an adult XXS, it's recommended I get a junior XS. However, I did read some reviews that XS is tight around the bust and waist- which makes me nervous, even if I don't have much up there! I don't trust the size charts anymore, so I thought I'd ask my fellow nurses who wear junior fit for their opinion.

I'm 5'2", 103-105lbs, bust 33" (34A-32B), waist 25", hips 35"

If you wouldn't mind sharing, what are your measurements and what size GA scrubs do you wear? I just want some reference points to work with. I definitely want room to move in my scrubs, but I want my clothes to look flattering as well! Any advice is appreciated. :)

You would be an XS. I wear a Small and I wear a size 6 pant. I wear a medium top because I find them tight across the chest.

I'm 5'2", 135 lbs and I wear a size 4 in pants and tops, 34B bust and wear S in the junior-fit GA scrub pants and M in the tops (I like them loose).

For you, I'd think you'd definitely want to try the XS.

If you don't mind me asking, where do you keep your extra pounds? I'm the same height, about 115 lbs, and a 34-B(ish) cup. I'm looking at ordering scrubs right now and I want to make sure I get the right size, too. Also, did you have to get your pants hemmed?

I wear a size 10 generally ( 5'8 and 150 lbs) and wear a very baggy large size in the Grey's brand. My DDs don't fit in the tops so I'm not sure how those run.

You are my size twin. Interesting that you say Cherokee XS is baggy because on me it is a perfect fit. Cherokee XS and GA XS fit the same.

Thanks everyone! I went with XS and was satisfied. It's just a smidge tight across the chest. I don't wear a bra with any padding with these tops, but can still wear undershirts. And finally a pair of pants that don't swallow up my behind! The GA Miss fit actually fits well too, but I do have to roll up the pants.

TokyoRose, that's interesting! GA fits perfectly but I was positively swimming in Cherokee. What Cherokee style do you wear? maybe I didn't wear the right one.
