Greenville Tech Nursing Program Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey there, I applied in March for a seat in the Fall! Anyone else out there applying during the March-May seating? Now that we are heading into mid-May I am getting nervous. Obviously about getting in, but secondly, I feel like I know nothing, like what books, and materials we would need to start. I am they type of person that has to prepare lol, so I feel lost that I can't (or don't know how) in the event I do get a seat!!

It looks like my program has been changed to nursing, but no classes for me yet. I asked Tammy Hayes yesterday when I turned in my health form when we would be registered for classes. She asked me which class I was in, I told her August (I'm guessing it will be different for each start date) and she said hopefully yesterday or today. According to her, some "computer guy" has to do it for her, and he wasn't on campus yesterday. She also said he didn't have to come to the campus today either, but she mentioned he has the ability to do it from home and he told her he would be working on it. So now, looks like we're just waiting on him.

Ok thanks! I asked her too and she had said she was hoping this week (as was I) financial aid is giving me a really hard time wanting me to exit out since I have no registered classes! I wish I was at least changed over to nursing. But...very exciting for you!! :)

Just checked again...I am changed over yay, guess I can call them Monday.

When I went up there yesterday to turn in my physical papers Tammy told me that she told the guy that had to register us to go ahead and start doing that. So hopefully he will get on that. I want to know how much classes are so I can get financial aid figured out! Lol

Yes! no more waiting...I am done with waiting for a longggg time lol. Felt so good to get everything done and turned in too!

Where are you all seeing it changed from pre-nursing to nursing? Is it in the student profile?

Yes, in GTC4me under webadvisor click on academic profile, then click on my profile. Scroll down and it should tell you your academic programs. Mine says Nursing, Undergraduate, AAS.

Oh hmm. Mine still says pre-nursing. I start in Jnauary though so maybe they are getting the people who start before changed first.

Okay, so it looks like I'm registered for nursing classes now, but I'm only registered for 9 credit hours for the fall semester. Don't we need to take full time hours for financial aid? I have completed all of the classes except nursing classes, so I'm not sure what else to take. Are there any nursing electives or anything we can take for more hours?

Yes you have to be full time for aid. Some of my friends just took super random easy A classes to keep their GPA up.

.....

So I got an email earlier saying CPR was supposed to be done with our vaccine paper. Has anyone else not taken it? The next class that's open isn't until 8-31. I'm going tomorrow to talk to Tammy but I was hoping I wasn't alone.

You should have 4 classes in the semester but we do them in 7 week courses.
