Hello everyone, I am new to this site and have questions about the clinicals at greenville tech. I want to get into the nursing program at gville tech. I plan to sign up for the LPN, but if possible take the core programs for the RN instead. I am a single parent and will have to continue to work full time, while I pursue my new career. I have been to techs website and it states that it is a day program only, but there are some clinicals that are offered on weekends and nights that were on a trial basis per techs website.
I currently work for a company that schedules change every 6 mths, and i have pretty good seniority and can get weekends off and work straight days only m-fri, now. I know if I want to get into nursing, I am willing to sacrifice my weekends and possibly work a night shift.
I would like to know what the hours and days for the clinicals. Is it mon-fri, 8-4? I need a better idea of what to expect. I also read on techs website that clinicals have to be completed within 18 months, is that possible going to school part-time?

It's day time hours for the clinicals and they are M-F, sometimes starting at 7am.
Each class is only 5weeks long.

You really can't do the nursing program part time. You can do the pre-reqs part time. They were going to offer a night program but due to budget cuts they are unable to do so now. Between class, labs, and clinicals most of the classes are M-F. This does change every 5 weeks but I only had a few classes that didn't meet on Fridays. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication but it CAN BE DONE!!
