The US is under retrogression and has been since Oct 06. There is a long long long wait to get a GC and training in the US doesn't make it any easier.
Current Visa Bulletin states there are no visas and nothing until the new finial year which is in October. Also a lot depends on where you was born. May have to consider leaving the country or maintaining your student visa
Is the student visa a way of sneaking into the USA and trying to get ahead of the line of those waiting patiently in the Philippines by Consular Processing?
No the student visa can not be used as a way to sneak into the US. They can go whilst I140 is being processed but if their PD isn't current then they will have to leave the US if their student visa is cancelled or expires.

A more frank -- and accurate -- statement would be:
Is the student visa a way of sneaking into the USA and trying to work illegally in the US? :imbar
People there is no way to sneak into the US legally and working. If you sneak into the US it's going to be very hard to find work. Unless you want to come out to California and work the fields, which is what many unskilled immigrants (legally/illegally) do. If will be hard to find work illegally as a RN because you need your CA RN license, and we all know you can't get that without a ss#. I'm sure there are the small amount of eople that fall through those cracks, but their days are numbered, and they will eventually be caught and sent back to their country of origin and will be banned.
Yes you should investigate more about the retrogression online, at this time, there are no visa numbers available for greencard, a lot of people waiting on the list, hospital may file the paper work , but it is not certain you ll get it. Check the visa bulletin on the website http://www.state.gov go to visa , then visa bulletin, you ll see the available greencards issued by the state department.
take care

I have a question. I have heard that nurses can fill for their green card immediately once they become RN. But, I have also heard that The immigration office will no longer do that. Can Any one give me what is happening currently regarding this condition? Is it possible to fill a green card for RN, simple because they are RN or it is not possible?
