I was online today deciding which scrubs to buy and talking with my SIL who is in Nursing school... I was wondering what is the greatest, most helpful item you have every bought---nursing related.

Mine is Supportive Socks. I get home from a 12 hr shift and my legs aren't throbbing!!!

I am still looking for the best shoes though.

My Palm Tx.

Oh, and one program lets me just write on the PDA and it saves the writing like a picture. Great for maps and jotting down phone numbers and meetings and all that stuff.

Hey - I just got me one of dem tings! Neat, aren't they? I had an old organiser for years but it just up and died on me a couple of weeks ago taking around 200 phone numbers and oodles of info with it. Used to back it up on the pc but when I changed to XP - well, it wasn't compatible.. I'm still learning to use the Palm E2 but haven't yet discovered how to access the extra SD cards.

As for my best items, well since I am now an independent OH advisor, while I can borrow equipment from my agent, every time it was something different so I splashed out on my own.

Thus my best buys are a bp machine, an auroscope and a microspirometer.

Mind you, when I go on an assigment, I have so much kit, I often feel like a travelling circus! Height measure, scales, charts, lifestyle leaflets and all the forms not to mention a Keystone vision tester and audiometry machine. Oh yes, and mouth pieces for the spirometer! Plus clock, hand wash, paper towels, trailing sockets and fan heater/cooler in case somebody faints!

Phew!! mefipallina_sp-cartmannohat.gif
