Gre

Does anyone know what other schools besides Oakland University that doesn't require the GRE before CRNA school? Also, are there any schools that don't require statistics or research methods as prereq's?? I took research methods in my BSN program and it seemed like a graduate class because of its difficulty and amount of work.

Georgetown University may exempt you from the GRE's if your GPA is high enough,( check out their web site) but you will probably want to take them anyway to apply to other programs.

if you want to be competitive--and we all are anyway..take your GRE and you have more choices in terms of school and you are not limiting yourself..from WSU, UofM, UDM and I heard MSU might open next year..you can apply at Oakland University and Georgetown by all means, at least with a competitve GRE on your application, you can go wherever you want from Florida to Illinois, Texas, TN, NY etc...

Stats may not be a direct requirement for nurse anesthesia admission, but may be indirectly required through graduate admissions... thus, double-check if your instution's graduate school requires it (make sense?). Also, don't sweat the GRE. Remember: it's one piece of the puzzle. Give it a shot and add it towards your application profile.

Schools that do not require GRE::

1. Kaiser Permenente (Cal State FUllerton) Pasadena, CA

2. Midwestern University- Glendale, AZ

3. Excela Health - Latrobe, PA

4. Thomas Jefferson- Philly, PA (If you have high GPA)

5. Some school in Rhode Island (Don't remember the name!)

Kaiser is ranked #10 in the nation. Excela is ranked #16 in the nation!

Hope this helps!

SUNY @ Buffalo I think I recall seeing that one if you had a BSN

Texas Wesleyan gives you a choice between the GRE and MAT.
