I'm strongly considering a move to Grand Junction Colorado. I have a lot of experience in ER, last two years I have been in PACU. I have 34 years total experience. I am BSN. What kind of pay would i be looking at and what are the opportunities like?

just putting this out there to see what I get back!

Did you end up moving to Grand Junction? I'm also on the hunt for information regarding opportunities in the area. I am a new grad ADN possibly looking to relocate.

Thanks!

Yes I did end up moving to Grand Junction! And I got a wonderful job at Community Hospital. I much prefer them over St Mary's in the interview. Here is a thought for you. While Grand Junction would be a wonderful place to start - consider too Fort Defiance Indian Hospital in Fort Defiance AZ. They have a loan repayment program in lieu of 2 years of service. Yes i know I just left there. And I was there for 7 wonderful years of my life! Think about it!

How is the pay in the area for a few years experience?

Better than Denver. Community is looking for ICU nurses! My base rate is awesome!

Thanks. Would you mind giving a ballpark figure if comfortable sharing?

Or just general range. I know Denver pay is usually $25-$35/hr

I have a BSN and am making over 38 per hour, plus charge pay and night shift diff. Not to mention they are really nice people that work there!

Hi -

I am thinking about moving to Grand Junction. I have 8 years of psych experience in NY.  I manage a 25 bed unit. Do you have any recommendations? I'm sure the pay will be very different but so are the taxes....
