What's the deal with this place? I saw they had a bunch of L&D needs so I sent them my resume and then followed up with a call. The nurse recruiter not even a RN by the way, acted like he had more important things to do than carry on a brief conversation with me. I've been a high risk L&D nurse for seven years and have my RN-C so it's not like I wasn't qualified for the position. Sense then I've received two charge nurse offers one from Emory and one from Atlanta Medical Center. Just thought I'd let the Grady nurse's know that if there short staffed the problem is the recruiters. I feel for yall, I've worked at hospitals where the administration was piss poor and the nurse's always pay the price.

Please do a "search" on Grady Hospital.
It has many well known problems, that lead to poor staffing.

It may be hard to believe but Grady receives tons of applications and resumes. They are slow but they will get around to calling you, trust me, I've been hired by them at least 3 times. It's unfortunate that they are so slow because they do lose a lot of people that way because by the time they get around to calling you, most people have already obtained employment elsewhere. There are many, many problems at Grady but trust me there are many problems at all the hospitals. I've worked at many of them in the Atlanta area and you are going to find short-staffing all over the place.
