We graduated last night (Friday) it was great.

I do have a question,

How do you all feel about letting someone participate in graduation even though they failed the quarter?

We had 6 people who went thru graduation, but did not receive their diplomas. They have to come back and retake all the tests they failed this past quarter and receive an 80 on each one and then they will receive diploma and letter sent to BON so they can take NCLEX.

Has this happened before to any other classes out there.

I know that you are happy, excited, and probably exhausted!! I'm not sure what the specifications are for graduating, but if these people did not pass their classes, I wouldn't think that it would be right for them to be there. I know the school probably does that so they can walk with their classmates...but, I still think they should have to wait to walk until they can actually pass.

Just my 2 cents!!

Wow...

That would NOT have happen 5 years ago, in the program that I was in.

We were told that we would have to repeat the whole program over again if we failed.

Ms. H must be getting soft as she ages ;)

Congrats on your achievement!!

I think that they should have to retake the classes and attend the next graduation. I understand the concept behind letting them walk with their class, but the bottom line is, the other people walking actually passed the classes. To let someone walk that did not reach their goal, IMHO, is kind of a slap in the face to those who did.
