Hi all -
I graduated top in my class four years ago and put off taking the NCLEX to start a family. I am now ready to go to work and contacted Michigan Board of Nursing only to find out that they require you to take the exam within 2 years. WHAT? I now have to find another state that will let me sit for the exam. Does anyone know of a state that doesn't have this same regulation? Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to bestow upon me.

CA will let you sit for the exam. Hope you can resolve this. And BTW, this should have been discussed at the end of your nursing program. Most schools do a good job of taking care of their students in this respect.

I graduated 9 years ago & I was able to take the exam. I did graduate from a school in CA, so I'm not sure how all that works out. You should definitely contact the CA BON! :)
