I graduated in 1997 with a BSN. Took the NCLEX-RN twice but did not pass and did not work in the medical field. I'm considering working in the field. How would I go about doing that? Do I need to take a refresher course?

You are likely outside the eligibility date to take the NCLEX since you graduated in 1997. Typically, you must pass the NCLEX within three to four years of graduation.

Check with your state Board of Nursing for the eligibility date in your state. If you are outside the date, you must repeat nursing school.

Best wishes,
