I graduated back in 2008 but ended up getting hired at a great paying job and got comfortable. Now I'm very disappointed in myself because I put my blood, sweat and tears into my nursing program to come out with nothing. I'm in the process of trying to figure out the first steps to reviewing for the nclex but don't know where to start or what to study. Can someone give me an idea of where to start please?!? I need to push myself because I know I deserve it.

First question would be whether you state will allow you to write the NCLEX after this long. Different states have different rules about that. Do you know for sure that you're eligible, or have you identified that you can write the exam in a different state and your current state will accept that license for endorsement?
Yes I've found out that I am eligible

I would definitely research a good nursing refresher course in your area and take it. Your nursing board should have a list of eligible programs.
Ok. Thank you so much. I'll check it out.

I graduated 1.5 years before I took my NCLEX. Look into Hurst Review or Kaplan. They really help with getting that core information back into your head. I made the mistake of taking one NCLEX without studying because I felt everything still may be fresh because I was reading review books, but I was so wrong. I highly recommend Hurst or Kaplan.
