Graduate School - B grades - allways required?

Published

Was just thinking the other day, when did all nursing grad programs becomes a B to stay in the program... was it like this back in the days? Funny how med school requires i think just C's? and Nurse graduate school require B averages or you are out of the program. Is this for everyone one's program? I am from Texas..just curious

Although having said that about my program, I must point out that it's not hard to get at least a B. Compared to my graduate work in Australia, I find that they totally spoonfeed you here! Along with giving lecture notes with the exact things that will be on exams, they then hold "review" sessions and in some cases give you sample questions which are then seen verbatim on the exam!

Wow, my school has a goal of 100% passing rate on boards - they would rather have people fail out of the program and have a high attrition rate then have a student not pass boards - so the tests here are more rigorous than what you describe - I'm kind of jealous....Review sessions?! I wish!

Happy Studying,

Kim
