Hi! I'm new to this whole forum-thing, but I think it could be a valuable tool so I'm trying it out.
I'm going to be graduating on May 8, 2009 with my ADN, I'll be an RN. I'm looking to relocate to SE Michigan shortly thereafter. How is the job market there? I know Michigan itself has a pretty bad economy, but is the Nursing field still strong? Do you know of any hospitals that are hiring?
Thanks, I appreciate your feedback!

There seems to be a lot of opportunity. I have several interviews set up with many different hospitals in SE Michigan.
Thanks for letting me know, that is encouraging!! Good luck on your interviews!

While there still are nursing jobs...even the hospitals are feeling the economy...just try applying and see what happens. Of the few hospitals I have talked to so far they are hoping that more positions will open up closer to graduation.
Thanks... Got my first choice, I start right after graduation, this experience has been great!

Congrats on the job!! I'm curious, are you graduating with your BSN or ADN?
I am graduating from an ADN program.
