I live and attend school in the Bay Area. I am researching BSN programs to apply to. Some here and some schools are out of state. I noticed that some universities use a + and minus system. The junior colleges in the bay area do NOT use this system. It kills me, because if we did, there are a lot of classes where I would have received a B+ instead of a solid B. This would have helped me so much when applying to a BSN program. I took nutrition last fall. I got an 88.9% and my instructor would not round it. (I know, its sucks) when I talked to the admissions people at UNLV, they said, sorry...we can only go by what the transcripts say, so if it's a B...then it's a B. Not a plus.
This is so frustrating. 😩

well, there's a couple of reasons why I am not applying at Junior College.
I dont want to say too much; especially, because there are people on this site who tend to blow things way out of proportion. (Not you, but a lot of others on this site)
I guess I will say: I want to stay at the company I work for. For the position that I want, it requires a BSN or higher. It will be a smarter move (for me) to get a BSN. :)
