GRAD PLUS LOAN- Eligibility & Concerns

Hello,

Could those of you who have applied for the GRAD plus loan share your experiences? I am entering an accelerated direct entry MSN program, and worried about getting my application approved. I don't have great credit, I'm above 600, but not high. Have any of you been denied? I am hoping to be able to apply without a co-signer.

Grad Plus loans eligibility are not determined by credit score, its determine by an adverse credit history. A current delinquency of 90 or more days on more than $2,085 in total debt, more than 2,085 in collections or charge off within 2 yrs of inquiring about the loan..... Repossession, foreclosure, tax liens, wage garnishments, (derogatory event) within the five years preceding the date of the credit report... are examples of an adverse history. You would need a cosigner if you have any of these events on your credit history.
