My worst fear is wasting all the money i had to pay for tuition and NOT getting my LPN license. I graduated 4 years ago and have taken the NCLEX many times. I'm worried...., is there a deadline to taking the NCLEX? What I mean to say is, since I graduated in 2013 will BVNPT look at my application (I've constantly taken my NCLEX from 2013 to current so I know Im still on file) and think "she graduated 4 years ago her credits are too old/expired." and then reject me???
What's the protocol, I'm in CA. I went searching on the forums and there are many women who say they've been out of school 7+ years and are taking their nclex. is it different for someone like me, who went through vocational school instead of the normal pre-reqs in college then move to a nursing program??
Sorry for the anxiety-written post. Just a little worried..

You will need to call the Board of Nursing in the state where you live to find the answers to your questions. Have you spoken to them yet? If not, that's where you should start.
RANT :
Taking your advice, I called BON, waited an hour and got the most unhelpful woman to help me. Previous experiences I've always received very polite and more than helpful people to assist me, I guess she was having an off day.
Anyway she said "Im no expert but schooling never expires. It's like high school you know, you'll always have your diploma." I kindly described to her that from what I've heard, science classes & nutrition classes only last up to 5 years before you have to get a "continuing education" or you know they "don't count" anymore and you have to re-take the classes.. she said again "I'm no expert... so I'm not sure what you're asking here..." I explained to her again that I heard credits become invalid after some time and you have to retake classes, again, "No see, I think you need to call the department of education which I can give you the number for... you're being very vague so I don't know." (annoyed at this point, not at the fact I called the wrong dept. but at the fact that I was only hold for an hour - and I was being as straight-forward as I could), and I've called before regarding NCLEX eligibility a year ago when my school merged with another school and the man who assisted me that time had the resources to help me with my question then.
Sorry for the rant , I will be following up w/ my school as well. Updates in this post to come, in case someone else is in my situation..

Don't read into the situation. The woman guided you correctly. TX gives you a four year time limit. Recency of science courses only matters when you are applying to nursing programs. Get going again and prepare for your retake. Hopefully this time will do it.
Thank you so much, you're right. It's done and over with anyway so I left a message with BON Education dept. & am waiting for a response from school.
