Hello, I am apply to nursing school in March and I was just wondering if anybody knew what the average GPA of people who are accepted. I go to a large University and it is based on GPA, essay, reference letters, etc. I have a 3.59 and a 3.4 science (the main science classes, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, etc) GPA and I am just curious. I am very nervous!!

Depends on the school

Definitely depends on the school.
Take fictional school A for example: Sure you only need a..let's say a 2.5 GPA to APPLY for this nursing school but everyone knows you really need a 3.5 (or whatever.) for them to even really look at your application.
Basically, it depends on the school. Talk to the couselors. Here at my school I think the website might say a 3.0 to apply but EVERYONE knows that they wont even look at you if you don't have a 3.5>> AVG GPA of those accepted? 3.7-3.8
You're definitely in good standing though and I wouldn't worry about it too much

I dont think you have anything to worry about. Hows your NLN score / ACT score?

You might be borderline depending on the school and number of applications verses spots open. Make your essay SHINE just to be on the safe side.

My school only lookes at gpa, so the lowest they accepted last year was 3.87.
