I just graduated in December with my BSN from UTA. I am wanting to continue on to grad school for Nuse practitioner. However, upon applying, my undergrad GPA is 2.92. I struggled a bit doing my RN-BSN as I had my child 7 weeks earlier than planned...right in the middle of 3 classes. I failed 2 and that tanked my GPA. The school I'm applying for has suggested I take a 3 credit hour class ( can be an undergrad class) be sure to get an "A" to bring my GPA up enough to get into the program. I gave looked at the classes I got C's in, in hopes of maybe retaking one, but these are classes like US government and Texas politics.
Has anyone just taken a class to bring up your GPA? What kind of class did you take? Any suggestions on which way would be better to go?
I know this was a lot of the advice I received. Can you retake the classes that you did not do well in? Also if you are working and getting experience it might help with that some.
I contacted my school I graduated from and apparently it's illegal to retake classes I have already finished a degree in. I have reached out to advisors at my school to see what they suggest.
