Gpa Good Enough

Published

Would a 3.0 gpa be enough to get into the nursing program at my community college or anywhere in general?

I think a "C" 2.0 is the minimum but if you have lower than a 3.5 it will be tough at most schools simply because of the number of students applying versus the number of available seats in most programs. The private schools are easier to get into, but cost about 2-3 times the price as I am sure you know.

Private schools are better for getting in. Mine is a private, non-profit. The biggest part was the interview with the Program Director. I did have a 4.0 GPA in prereqs, but she was interested in why I wanted to be a nurse. I got in, graduated, and passed NCLEX first time up. And we used ATI vice HESI. ATI prepared me for NCLEX.
