Govt's workplace health checks

Is the announcement that nurses will now do health checks in the workplace a good idea or a PR stunt. This has already been going on for years and is readily available in many pharmacies. Will the outreach affect patient care in hospitals? Thoughts?

Can you elaborate on what the UK government has announced? What exactly is being proposed and in what form?

I am originally from the UK but haven't lived there for many years. While I do try to keep up with UK news, I've missed this one so I'd appreciate a fuller outline. Thanks.
