Rencently commissioned on Sept 22 66H8A; soon to be 66f. Anyone know about the process of receiving, initial orders. How long does it take? Also anyone know what EDD is. Im still and E-mail only account on the Army Knowledge Online site. Won't have full access until my SSN apears in EDD. What's that all about.

Congratulations!

I look forward to reading the informative replies!

You may need to note if you are reserves or active duty in order to more fully have your question answered.

Is it that you are waiting to go to OBC site through the Army Nurse corps at:

http://www.dns.amedd.army.mil/ANPD/OBC/obc_index.html

edited to ask

Do you have a contact person that you are supposed to call in order to double check things? Is it normal to wait nearly a month with no contact, (question to the other forum members)?

Here is the information from USAREC

http://www.cs.amedd.army.mil/187medbn/alpha/

However, from that site I also read that [paste]Charlie Company 264 Medical Battalion will now support:

NURSE ANES (66F)[endpaste] Versus teh Alpha company 187th. So maybe you'd need to contact them? Don't know and I hope that this information doesn't make things more confusing.

edited again to add a second paste from the OBC F.A.Q.

Q10: Why have I not received my OBC welcome packet?

A10: Unfortunately, Welcome Packets are no longer mailed out. This website was designed to replace Welcome Packets. If you cannot find the answer to your questions on our website, feel free to e-mail the Class Advisor for answers.
