Got my package to apply....why do they have a previous employer reference??

Published

I got all my materials to apply for licensure in Idaho really fast! I was kind of puzzled as to why the board of nursing there cares to have a previous employer reference. As long as my license is in good standing with the previous states I am licensed in what do they care? I am licensed in NC and Ca and haven't ever heard of the reference unless applying for an actual job.

It got me thinking if someone had an employer they worked for and they said something not appealing on the reference can that bar someone from getting licensed in Id?

Just another form to get filled out and sent....ugh!

You know I wondered the same thing and sent the BON that very question. The answer was "it's for the boards information". O K that tells me a lot - not
