With this horrible economy and me being a new graduate i was super excited last week when after applying for dozens of jobs, I finally got an email from a nurse recruiter that said he would like to speak with me and conduct a 30 minute telephone pre-employment screen.
I set up the appointment for the call at 2:30 this past Wednesday the 12th , I was sent 2 reminders that he would be calling. 2:30 came and went, NO ONE called not even days later! No email either!
I left him a message on his voicemail that day at 3:30 asking about rescheduling.
I called back once more Friday and when i got his voicemail it said he would be out from the 13th(day after scheduled interview) until the 19th. I realize he may have had something come up and perhaps thats why he didnt call and why he is gone.
I REALLY REALLY am interested in this job, and I don't know if i should call HR of the hospital and explain my situation or try calling the recruiter again on the 19th....
Well good luck and I have a feeling you may have done well as the recruiter does seem to be a little unprofessional in regards to not recognizing the failed first interview he scheduled. If it didn't go well apply to other jobs and hopefully the next recruiter/HR department will be A LOT more professional then this past recruiter.
