I went to the after hours clinic this morning and I've got the fluI can NOT believe I have the flu. I'm in louisiana so we don't have school mon and tues for mardi gras thank goodness. I haven't been really sick in years...I can't believe a month into nursing school I have the flu. Maybe from stress...who knows.
Anyway, my dr put me on tamiflu since the symptoms just started last night but I was wondering if you guys had any tips on getting well a little quicker. I have to make it to school on Wed. This really sucks. :angryfire
thanks for letting me moan...

The flu responds to one thing, and one thing only: that is 'tincture of time'. :) It frankly doesn't care if you need to be at school on Wednesday.....if you're still sick then, you need to stay at home and not push it. Flu has a way of biting your butt if you try to do too much too soon!
In the meantime, do the things everyone always says to do when the flu knocks you flat: rest, fluids, Tylenol for aches and fever, more rest, and more fluids.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
