I got fired as a CMA because I didn't document right when I called back labs. Now I can probably never get rehired as a CMA but currently in school working on pre-reqs to become an RN. Is this something that will haunt me? I learned my lesson the first time I was written up for it but I was written up a week later and I had another complaint. I know for a fact I told them results and what needed to be done but with no documentation it's my word against the pts.

If you didn't document it it never happened. Both complaints for the same issue? Lesson learned?

This job will more than likely come up when you are searching for future CMA or nursing jobs as you will need to disclose your previous employers for most applications. It will also probably show on a employment background check. I would not say that you will never be employed again, but, I would just be prepared to explain how you will prevent making this same error in the future and what you have learned since this has happened.
As JustBeachy has stated "If it was not documented it was not done." You will hear that a lot in nursing school. It is so important.
