That's great!!!!!! I went to that test site and found it to be a great experience. Practice the labs even if you feel like you know them and practice an entire PCS. This is what helped me the most:
-get a practice patient scenario
-make out a care plan for the patient and e-mail it to the EC clinical staff for validation
-do all documentation for your practice patient/kardex
-do the evaluation phase
-make a practice grid for each scenario
Know the study guide thoroughly prior to making practice "packets." I flew through the paper work at the real CPNE because I had it down to a T. I also recommend the on-line care planning course, if you need help in this area. The instructor gives you one-to-one feedback. The workshop I could have done without simply because I knew my study guide so well. The workshop really didn't go into anything that wasn't already mentioned in the study guide. I passed first time without a repeat on anything--you can too!

Best of luck on the CPNE. Are you done with all your gen ed requirements? When did you apply? I'm still waiting on my date, but it's only been 3 1/2 weeks.

Just how long do you have to wait to get a date set up?
Typical wait 4-5 weeks. I have heard in California some waiting on a list up to 3 months just to get a date. I should think unless you applied to California you should get a date in a month's time. The date you receive will be about 4-5 months out--but you may get on a cancel list to test fairly soon.
Best wishes,

Guess I had better go ahead and apply. I am qualified to apply now but was waiting because I figured they would set me up a date as soon as I called. Waiting a month really stinks, as rearing to go as I am...

Good luck!
thanks for the well wishes all! and thanks GN1974 for all the great info, it is appreciated. i overnighted my application packet on 3/4 and received my info on 3/29. about 4-5 days before that i saw the date listed under course registration on the ec website under myec...it doesn't give u the site. i am currently taking my last gen ed, distance learn thru louisiana univ (physiology-i already had anat) and am half way thru that. will finish it up right before my cpne...i need to start crunching time to study both. that carjack is an evil demon just snarling on the table, i think i need to kick it a few times to get it to cooperate a little more :chuckle! anyway, best wishes to all.

Best of everything to you !!! Take that carjack with you EVERYWHERE you go ! I made tapes for myself going over all the various things I needed to remember and listened to them in the car, and every chance I had.. for months !!!
Truly wishing you all the success in the world ! :) :balloons: :)

I waited 7 months to get a CPNE date in Long Beach Site. My friend who I met
in the CPNE workshop waited 8 months to get a date in Long Beach. If you have the funds and less restriction apply to any sites don't limit yourself to one site especially Long Beach.
What's a carjack?
