ANY WORDS OF ADVICE ?
Is it really a "" piece of cake"" as I am hearing ?
How long before you were able to return to work?
Any complications ?
I've heard people (and some nurses) say "" If I need my gallbladder out,
I'M going to tell the doc I want to be opened up ! I have heard too many horror stories about lap chole's with complications !""
True ?

I am on Day 2 post-op....I still feel nauseous and have blurred vision but the nurse told me the vision is due to the nausea patch. So I took that off this morning, and the blurred vision is improving. I still feel nausea, have no real appetite. Pain is manageable, I just have to hold onto my abdomen to cough.
The gas pain/pressure was definitely worse than the incision sites. My right shoulder and back of my neck hurt like anything, but that was only bad after 24 hrs, it is better now. I am surprised at the amount of gas I am passing from my bowels considering I have not eaten anything but applesauce and a 1/2 baked potato for my christmas dinner......I can't wait until this is over. Hopefully by new years I can eat a little more.
My surgery was at 12:30pm, and I was home by 4pm. I kind of wished I could have stayed overnight....just as a escape from 2 young children who constantly want my attention!
