Got accepted into BSN program in California but have no idea what the tuition is.

HI everyone,

I am new here, hailing from Sacramento, California

I applied to Sac State, Chico State, Humbolt, Stanislaus and another school in Miami.

To my surprise I got accepted at Humboldt and at that University in Miami cause this is my first time applying into nursing school. I will be done with my prereqs in a few weeks.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: Here is my question: How much is the tuition at sac state or Humboldt. Someone told me $30,000 for the two years but I cannot find any info about tuitionI don't know if my financial aid will cover it.

Any help will be very appreciated!!!!!

I am waiting on Sac State, Chico and Stanislaus.

---Actually Humbolt was my second choice because it is 2.5 years compared to Chico and Stanislaus(3years). If I don't get accepted at Sac State, I'll be going to humboldt. And the fact that at Humboldt you also receive a hollistic certification is a perk :D(I don't know what that actually does, but I figure, it cannot hurt).

Thanks all.:heartbeat

It is pretty easy to find tuition information on the school's website.

For example, I typed "sacramento state tuition fees" into Google, and the following webpage is what I found. It has all of the tuition info you need. The amount you will pay will be determined by whether or not you are a California resident and how many units you are taking.

Thank you,

I did find the fees if u attended the school, but I need to know the tuition for the nursing program itself.

Maybe somebody who attended one of the CSUs can tell me how much a year or for those 2 years.

Someone told me $15,000 a year. I am not sure if that's right.

thanks

the tuition for the progrm IS the fees for the school. itll run about $2000 per semester, so $4000 in tuition for one year of the program and $8000 for both years. THEN on top of that you need money for books ($1500-2000 perhaps?), health and auto insurance (another $4000/2years), living expenses like rent, food, gas, personal items. You need access to internet, a computer, copying/printing, and reliable means to get to clinicals and school. All -that-jazz can vary in cost.

Cool, not bad. Thank you so much, I guess the person meant $15,000 including everything for the 2 years.

I guess I just have to find out how much financial aid and scholarship I can get and get the rest in student laons. Well this is a steal compared to $24,000 a year from that other school.

If anyone has more coments please keep them coming.

thanks

:yeahthat:

My tuition this semester at Stanislaus was $1904. This includes all the various and sundry "fees" added in. The CSU system charges one fee if you are part time and another if you are a full time student. Nursing students are all full time students:uhoh3: The Holistic approach to nursing means that the whole patient is considered in care. The "patient" includes family and friends. It is amazing to see how it works in the real world. Asking how a family member is doing when their loved one is ill/hurt and listening to the answer provides more care than you can imagine.

Good luck where ever you decide to go. Isn't it nice to have a choice?

wow, that is great. I think my financial aid can pay for that.

It is so great to have a choice. I decided against Stanislaus and Chico because their programs are 3 years whereas Sac state and Humboldt are respectively 2 years and 2.5 years. I have husband and child and I will be away from home for the whole nursing school, so the fastest I am done with it the better.

I like that idea of the hollistic approach, so Humboldt State here I come :yeah:
