I dropped off my nursing application as soon as the application process started and I cant wait to find out if I have been accepted.
Who else out there has applied and what is your stats?
I even called the nursing department yesterday after hours to see if maybe the outgoing message had an info. No such luck :-(. This is sad I think I need professional help now. I'm afraid that if I call during the day and bother them they will ask for my name and take my letter out of the stack lol!!! I have had way too much time to think about this :-).
Well wen do you guys think they a re sending out letters? I spoke to a women in the nursing building last monday and she said she thinks that they havent finish makein there decisions and letters probably wont go til the middle of april.
All i could think about is the fact that she said "i think" and "probably" so idk if she is a gud source.
what do u guys think?
All I know is, whenever I think about if I'm accepted or not I want to throw up lol... I do not think this is good for my health..(our health) lol I get on here ocassionally to see if anyone has recieved a letter and I think it's making it worse, but I have no other indication. Why do they do this to us?
So maybe that means that our letters are coming soon. I agree Lil8 this is making me crazy. I know my msil carrier thinks that i am crazy because i already started looking for it last week. Everyone keeps telling me that I shouldn't be anxious and it will come, hell I know that just want it soon. :-).
The LPNs can only apply during the summer application period, so unless they're holding those spots for them for the spring semester, I doubt that's true.
To the person that said "I hope it's not true as to not lessen anyone else's chances" - we only have one opportunity a year to get in, and unfortunately there are very few bridge programs left, so no offense, you have a much higher chance than an LPN does of getting in. Not all of us were able to spend the money and time to get into an RN program originally, nor did we "flunk out", so please do not look down on someone who is trying to further their education and complain about lessening your chances - your acceptance is not based on whether or not they need spaces for LPNs.
OMG....Seriously, I was the one that made the comment about lessening our chances. Being an older student I would never look down on someone that is trying to better themselves so if the comment offended u or anyone else it wasn't meant to, nor was it a complaint. Just a general statement that wasn't directed to anyone personally...
I personally did not take that comment literally shawbowen628, and this is coming from an "older" student too.
Everyone means well on this thread, kimsey whether one is going into the LPN bridge program, ASN/RN, or just touching down because they're already in the program, out working, or graduate education.
We're all just wanting to become the best nurses we possibly can!
