Hello fellow students! I applied to the Summer 2023 ADN nursing program at Goodwin University with 16 points (which probably isn't enough, but still hopeful) and wondering if anyone else is in the waiting period with me? I know the cut-off was 17 points for the last couple of semesters, but maybe I'll get lucky.

Hi! I also applied for the Summer 2023 program, and am anxiously waiting LOL. I have a total of 19 points, but I had previously applied with 16 last semester but got denied. I would stay hopeful, the point system is entirely dependent on how the other applicants do on the TEAS. If not that many students had 17 points, they'll often times drop the cut off score. I do hope you get in though, best wishes!!
Thanks, same to you! Although with 19 points you should be golden! It's my first time applying, so I won't be too heartbroken if I need another try. I did a bit of a dive and found previous students had letters towards the end of February, so we're nearing the end. It's so funny to be banging down the doors of a nursing program with news reports about nursing shortages playing around the clock!

I totally agree ! We are so short at work it should be illegal! But the college funding depends on the graduation rates , so they try and only take the students who they feel would pass NCLEX based on this point system that doesn't always seem like the best screening process!

Hiiiiii! Has anyone heard when they will be sending out the letters of acceptance or rejection.

Hello I am applying to the next application for the nursing program at Goodwin. I could use some help on how you guys studied for the TEAS exam as I'm worried about the point system. I have a total of 12 points not including the TEAS.

Hi! I was just accepted into the LPN bridge at Goodwin. I purchased the study materials on the ATI website. They have pre-tests that break down what you need to focus on. There's also a mobile app with quizzes that I used during downtime at work. I also bought the Mometrix book but didn't use it because I found it overwhelming. Plus, I figured ATI made the test, probably best to study their stuff. I ended up getting an 84.7% so that got me 7 more points.

Did you get in? I'm applying as an LPN in December looking for some more information! They refuse to give any information for the bridge it's so odd. Do you happen to know the minimum points that was accepted for LPN?

Yes I was accepted ...but was told my payment plan was 1000$ a month! Because I used all my student loans for my other degrees . I was devastated .. and could not afford that. Now I am working on my doctorate in public health and only have 18 months left. I tried to work out a cheaper payment plan , but was denied. It's a shame considering the nursing crisis we are in, and I have been an LPN for 25 years that they didn't want to work with me... Especially after giving so much of myself through 2020.
Oh my gosh! That is terrible! So sorry that happened to you. If you don't mind me asking how many points did you have when accepted?
