Goodwin College Summer 2019 Points

Published

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything from Goodwin for the Summer 2019 cohort? I applied with either 17 or 19 points (not sure if they will accept all of my previous college credits towards the 60 credits). I noticed that historically students had found out usually around the 15th or 16th, but sadly, I still have not received anything. Has anyone else received a response?

Hi, I was not able to sign into Castle branch either. Hopefully soon they will fix it. And I will try and sign up for NSNA tonight and let you know what I think.

Castle Branch is finally working. And for NSNA I put student.

Does anyone know how to go about getting the access code for ATI website? Is Ed supposed to send us all an email soon? Trying to get a start on assignments..

It's on the last page of the syllabus paperwork I believe.

Hey guys! For Potter/Perry chapters 15-10 What is everyone doing for notes? Are you doing the questions in the back of the chapters as well?

Congrats to everyone who got in! I just finished Nur100. If I can offer any advice for success in Ed's course, read and answer the objectives at the beginning of each chapter and study the boxes!! Don't make yourselves crazy, there will be plenty of time for that! Good luck!!

Please reach out if you have any questions!

Thank you so much! I'll definitely take you up on that, right now actually lol! I made flash cards for all the terminology in each ATI module for week 1, along with more notes on each section- are all the flash cards necessary? I'm assuming so but want to double check since there's ALOT

To be honest, I started the same way you are! You will not need them! I did all my pre-reqs online and I will say, the work load of NUR100 is nothing compared with keeping up with online classes. I did not make flash cards until the modules that are covered in Exam 3. For some reason, Exam 2 Nutrition is the hardest. For now just memorize normal ranges for vital signs. If you're going to take notes, use Ed's powerpoints as a guide. He doesn't hide obscure facts in the exams, if its not on his powerpoint or mentioned in class, it won't be on the exam.

Wow- I'm really glad you hopped on this forum! Thank you for the heads up, that's a lot less nerve wracking. All the terminology was making me nervous- I'm about five inches deep in index cards lol So for right now while we prepare for week one, basically focus on the objectives and the boxes in each chapter?

Yes objectives and boxes. there is also a website for potter and perry that should be in the first few pages of the textbook. that has good "key points" If there is one thing I WOULD have made flash cards sooner for it would be airborne, droplet and contact precautions, you're going to need to know them inside and out.

Thank you thank you thank you! I do have a question I did not look at anything because I wanted to enjoy my time before school. This week I was going to start reading and preparing for class on the 13th. Do you think I did the right thing?
