Goodwin College Spring 2022

So! I'm applying for Goodwin for the Spring start time. Not sure if my points can compete this time around. I have currently 16 points and I'm not even slightly optimistic. where are you guys with points?

thank you for the info! Now I’m a bit less optimistic because my GPA is not that high. Now I wish I tried a little harder ? I was like oh I work full time have two very small children, I don’t need to be perfect in school.

Don’t count yourself out though, honestly your TEAS score is super competitive and they will be looking at that first. And remember, they accept enrollment three times a year so if you don’t get in you can instantly reactivate your application and schedule TEAS again. I was bummed the first time around, more hopeful this time.

Thanks Ryan, I only have 16 points as well so hopefully we’ll all get in.

I applied to the Spring 2022 ABSN Program but when I looked at the point system, I did not take any courses through Goodwin so I'm afraid that really hurt my point score. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in a non-nursing field, 3.7 GPA overall, 4.0 science GPA. Completed all necessary prerequisites prior to applying. ATI TEAS score of 86% was taken 2 years ago so hoping they accept the score...otherwise I don't mind taking it again as I took almost blind the first time.

Anyone else applying for the ABSN program?? Hoping for some clarification of the point system.

Good luck everyone!

so basically, the more points you have according to their list the better chance you have of being accepted. Each semester there is a point cutoff also. Last semester it was 16 I had heard however some semesters it has been 14ish. It really varies depending upon the applicants.

Has anyone heard when we should be expecting letters letting us know either way?

Hi mmill71 - I am also applying into the ABSN program with a bachelors degree in a non medical related field.  Taking my pre-req's at Goodwin really helped to increase my points.  From reading what you are saying, you will get (3) points for your Bachelor's, (3) points for your 3.7 GPA, and (7) points for your TEAS score - landing you at 13 points.  The point cutoff really is up to the pool of applicants, I have heard the cutoff has been 14 some semesters and 16 others depending on the score of the pool.  We should be getting our letters either this week or next since they need to come before registration.  Good luck to everyone, I have done my best to put it at the back of my mind but now that we are getting close I am starting to get nervous!

Yea good luck everyone! Hope to see y’all in January!!

If anyone hears what the points cut off is for this pool of applicants please let me know, thanks and good luck!

We should all be hearing something in the next several days - just wanted to take a minute and wish everyone the best of luck.  The wait has been terrible, this last week or two specifically.  Literally on the edge of my seat and its driving me crazy LOL.  If you are lucky enough to get in, I wish the best of luck to you in nursing school and your future nursing career.  If you receive a rejection letter - remember, you didn't come this far just to get this far.  You can reactivate your application and sign up for next TEAS go around right away.

Have you heard any news on what the points cutoff was for this cycle? I had a meeting with my advisor today and she wasn't aware yet.

Good luck to everyone as well!! I'm ready to find out so I can start making plans as to what I'm doing next semester ?

Aweee yeah same I just checked my mail ? nothing. And it was a lot of work to even get this far so we def need to give ourselves credit!
