Good study guides for Maternal Nursing?

Published

Hi, I am starting maternal-neonatal nursing in a few weeks. It is my next to last trimester before I get my BSN:yeah:. I heard it was pretty hard but what nursing class isn't? Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good study guides to help prepare me. I have already heard about "Straight A's for Maternal" so I will be getting that. Any helpful information or tips you can give me for this class would be much appreciated. :D

i love the prentice-hall reviews and rationales series in general! i ended up not using it for OB because my teacher was easy enough that i didn't need it. but i love the books in that series because they teach you the important concepts and give you practice questions with rationales. when i don't have time to read the assigned textbook chapters before a test, i read the relevant chapter(s) in my reviews/rationales book and do okay on the tests! (i wouldn't recommend taking that big of a risk, though!)

I really liked the Straight A's for this class and didn't feel the need for anything else. If you haven't given birth, something like the What to Expect book would be handy for an easy overview.
