I work with an OB/NICU nurse who is retiring this year after 38 years in our hospital and wanted something special to get her that she will love. She enjoys reading and gardening but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good book idea? I just can't think of any...
Thanks

How about a gift certificate to a bookstore so she can choose her own books? You can buy a cute little flower pot and put the certificate in there with a pair of gardening gloves. Or a certificate to a local gardening center or online gadening catalog. Has she mentioned if she has a favorite?

Get her a journal so she can "write her own book" about her nursing years, or life after retirement, or both!
The idea of putting a gift certificate in a flower pot with gloves is a great idea and personalizes it for her.
Or a gift certificate connected with a pretty ribbon around her favorite non-alcoholic beverage, ie, coffee cup with coffee mix or tea bags in it...or in my case a 2 liter Dr Pepper with a pkg of neon straws.
Katnip, LOVE your boxing kitty!!!
Those are great ideas! Thanks so much for the input :wink2:
